My optimism and breakfast arent enough to make it through the day,
So I buy a silver can of ambition to compensate.
As I fuel my car I too fuel my self with highly volatile chemicals.
Im not alone in my consumption of edible energy.
Were all fed this fossil fuel of the Taurus,
And we pass Go to collect our 200 dollars.
But what about the damage to my planet?
The hole in the digestive layer,
The drought of my circulatory system,
The smog in my lungs,
And the solar and lunar imbalances?
What of all those?
Im polluting my self, all for the sake of gain, and production.
Im the planet on a personal scale,
Dumping my toxic waste into my self.
Sold in a four pack, for the convenience of necessity.
It gives me molted temporary wings,
But I do not soar on them.
I crash, and I burn. Only to repeat the process.
Breakfast is an ulcer, lunch is the jitters, and dinner is insomnia.
I miss being solar powered, but we live in a nuclear industrial society.
So gas me up with the elixir of crank, Ive got class in 15 minutes.
Watch me nod off when I hit the E on my gauge,
For I have no reserve tank, this is it.
Start your day with a red bull, end your sentence with a sigh.
